【精麻の説明】
・精麻は古来より邪気を払うものとして『魔除け』や『神が宿る』植物と言われています。
その為神事や冠婚葬祭には欠かせない神聖な植物です。又、成長が早く大きく根を張ることから発展・商売繫盛・人々の成長などを意味し、古来から縁起の良いものとして私たちと深く繋がっています。
戦後までは生活の一部として欠かせないものであり、漁網や釣り糸、自家用の衣類や縄などにも使われてきました。神社のしめ縄や横綱のしめ縄など日本伝統や人生の大きな節目には精麻が使われています。
■ サイズ
・調節部分を含めた長さは80cmですが、とめ結びをしていますのでお好みの長さに調整可能です。
・紐の太さは約２㎜です。
■ 素材/製造国
・素材には精麻（せいま）、天然石を使用しており、精麻は栃木県にある400年以上続く麻農家の8代目が種から栽培し、湯掛け、麻引き、精麻干しまでほぼ手作業で一貫管理されている麻１００％のものを使用しています。こちらの精麻から紐を作りお作りしています。
■ お手入れ/取り扱い注意事項
・天然繊維ですので使い始めは固く感じるかもしれませんが、使うほど変化(馴染んで)いきます。表面の毛羽立ちが気になってきましたらハサミ等でカットして下さい。気にならなければそのままお使いください。
・色合いが変化しやすくなりますので水濡れを避けていただく事をお勧めします。又、調節部分が濡れると、精麻が乾くまで動かなくなりますのでご注意ください。

■About Seima
Seima has long been known as a sacred plant that repels negativity and is believed to house divine energy.
It has been essential in Shinto rituals and ceremonies, symbolizing growth, prosperity, and good fortune.
Until the postwar era, it was widely used in daily life—for fishing nets, clothing, ropes, and more.
Even today, seima is used for shrine shimenawa and ceremonial ropes.

■Materials
Seima hemp and natural stones
The hemp is grown and processed almost entirely by hand by an 8th‑generation farmer in Tochigi, on a farm with over 400 years of history.
The cord is made directly from this seima.
■Care
As a natural fiber, it may feel firm at first but softens with use.
Trim any loose fibers if desired.
Avoid getting it wet, as the color may change.
If the adjustable part becomes wet, it may not move until fully dry.
