こちらの商品は、希少な野州麻の特等の精麻を使用した長さ80㎝太さ2㎜の精麻の紐になっております。

お持ちの天然石を紐に通し、ネックレスやブレスレットなどにもお使い頂けます。

「とめ結び」をしていただくと、長さ調整が可能なネックレスやブレスレットをお作りする事が出来ます。

【精麻の説明】
・精麻は古来より邪気を払うものとして『魔除け』や『神が宿る』植物と言われています。
その為神事や冠婚葬祭には欠かせない神聖な植物です。又、成長が早く大きく根を張ることから発展・商売繫盛・人々の成長などを意味し、古来から縁起の良いものとして私たちと深く繋がっています。
戦後までは生活の一部として欠かせないものであり、漁網や釣り糸、自家用の衣類や縄などにも使われてきました。神社のしめ縄や横綱のしめ縄など日本伝統や人生の大きな節目には精麻が使われています。

■ サイズ
・紐の長さは約８０cmです。
・紐の太さは約２㎜です。

■ 素材/製造国
・素材には精麻（せいま）、天然石を使用しており、精麻は栃木県にある400年以上続く麻農家の8代目が種から栽培し、湯掛け、麻引き、精麻干しまでほぼ手作業で一貫管理されている麻１００％のものを使用しています。こちらの精麻から紐を作りお作りしています。

■ お手入れ/取り扱い注意事項
・天然繊維ですので使い始めは固く感じるかもしれませんが、使うほど変化(馴染んで)いきます。表面の毛羽立ちが気になってきましたらハサミ等でカットして下さい。気にならなければそのままお使いください。
・色合いが変化しやすくなりますので水濡れを避けていただく事をお勧めします。又、調節部分が濡れると、精麻が乾くまで動かなくなりますのでご注意ください。

This cord is made from rare, top‑grade Yashu Seima hemp and measures 80 cm in length with a thickness of 2 mm.
You can thread your own natural stones onto the cord to create necklaces or bracelets.

By using a “tome‑musubi” (sliding knot), you can easily make adjustable jewelry.

■ About Seima (Refined Hemp)
Seima has long been regarded as a sacred plant that repels negative energy and is believed to house divine presence.
It has been essential in Shinto rituals, ceremonies, and life events.
Because it grows quickly and develops strong roots, it symbolizes prosperity, success, and personal growth, and has been considered auspicious since ancient times.

Until the postwar era, Seima was widely used in daily life—for fishing nets, clothing, ropes, and more.
Even today, it is used for shrine shimenawa and ceremonial ropes such as those worn by sumo yokozuna.

The hemp is sourced from a farm in Tochigi with over 400 years of history.
The 8th‑generation farmer grows the hemp from seed and handles nearly every step—boiling, fiber extraction, and drying—by hand.
The cord is crafted directly from this Seima.

■ Care Instructions

As a natural fiber, Seima may feel firm at first but softens with use.
Trim any loose fibers if desired.

Avoid getting it wet, as the color may change.
If the adjustable part becomes wet, it may not move until fully dry.
